Tomorrow x Together continues their “no-skips” streak with the release of “The Name Chapter: Temptation”. The visuals, aesthetic, and sound of this album has really gone above and beyond the standards they continue to set for themselves. You can read my review of the album shortly! The title track Sugar Rush Ride has garnered 8.8M views since being posted just over 9 hours ago.
I watched the music video as soon as it premiered last night, and proceeded over to Spotify where I listened to the album and watched the story video attached to the album. Afterwards I questioned how I was supposed to sleep after the AMAZING comeback.
I’ll review it in the order I listened to it last night and put my song ranking after!
Sugar Rush Ride
I watched the Sugar Rush Ride music video and had to really fight to be quiet. The aesthetic of the video, the AMAZING chorus, build up, and each verse brought me to my downfall. The boys wake up on a beach, and then we see them enjoying their time in the island. During the chorus, we start to see little peaks of something more before the chorus cements our downfall. This is firmly my third favorite song on the album, because the b-sides were exquisite.
Devil by the Window
Devil by the Window secures itself as #2 in my ranking of this album, with the dark tempo and alluring lyrics. I found myself getting lost in the delicious beat and the choreo I watched this morning just added to it! It’s definitely going to be in my top TXT songs.
Happy Fools
The third song on the album is the fourth song in my ranking. I love it, but not as much as the top 3 songs in my ranking. Coi Leroy’s voice is so good, it’s so velvety and I can’t even put it into words properly. The upbeat tempo of this song made me add it to my driving playlist, I’ll probably have it on repeat during beach season!
Tinnitus
Tinnitus was unfortunately the least favorite track on the album for me. It’s still a no skip, but someone had to be in last! It’s been added to my chill playlist along some of my favorite songs like Woodz’ Waikiki.
Farewell, Neverland (네버랜드를 떠나며)
And the last song on the album is my top song! Farewell, Neverland just hits some sweet spots in my brain from the tone and the tempo and the beats. I’m free falling in love with this song. I think I tend to like the outros the most!
